MAS™ sales and project management is accomplished through a global network of MAS Developers (MDs). A MAS Developer primary duties are to connect consumers with contractors and provide an interface between contractors and the MAS engineering and producibility teams. MAS has created four (4) distinct Proficiency Levels to assist those new to MAS™ to obtain training and confidence in the simple process of procuring and constructing a MAS™ structure.
MAS™ Proficiency Levels
MD (MAS Developer – Project Coordinator): This would be the person/company that coordinates with the end user of a structure built on a MAS-570™ or MAS-1300™ system. A MAS Developer is thoroughly familiar with the use of the MAS™ system and the various accessories. The MAS Developer can work with a contractor in the same manner an architect does. The MAS Developer can also contract DIRECTLY with an “end user” for a turn key system and thus hire the contractor themselves. The MAS Developer often times coordinates the entire project from concept to completion. The MAS Developer may also help the end user with project approval and financing (if required). The MAS Developer has a contractual relationship with MAS™. ONLY A MAS Developer CAN OBTAIN A MAS™ UNIT LICENSE TO BUILD A MAS™ SYSTEM. Such a Unit License must be procured for EACH AND EVERY MAS™ system constructed.
Contractor: This person/company certified (if required) by local licensing authorities in the locality where a MAS™ system will be built. Since the MAS™ system is simple to build, almost any contractor with construction experience will be easily able to incorporate the MAS™ system into the solutions they offer their clients. A contractor MUST work with a MAS Developer and can NOT construct or work on a MAS™ project without coordinating with a MAS Developer.
Job Site Foreman/Lead – Superintendent): This person will have detailed knowledge in the construction techniques associated with a MAS™ system and is typically a captive employee of the contractor. This person has the option of taking a proficiency training class from MAS to orient themselves to the fast and efficient manner that a MAS™ system can be constructed.
Specialist/Workers: These persons will have familiarity with one or all of these five specialty areas involved with the construction of a MAS™ system: Foundation / Concrete Finisher, Form Setter, Re-Bar Setter, Concrete Mixer Technician, Shotcrete Nozzle Operator & Concrete Stamping / Finisher.
