MAS™ employs a sophisticated electronic license verification system to prevent the theft of the MAS™ intellectual property, registrations, and patents (pending and issued).
All MAS™ System Licenses come with a single MASTronic™ RFID License Tracking Device which can NOT be counterfeited. The MASTronic™ is embedded in the freshly shotcreted MAS™ concrete on the arch opposite the main entrance within 3 feet of the center and within 3 feet of the ground. Each MAS™ system license also comes with an MAS™ Exterior Identification Number (MEIN) which contains the year, and 5 alpha-numeric digits. Example: 12-A5TP4. This exterior ID number is a unique randomly generated serial number created by the MAS™ Licensing Department and is used as an external identifier in conjunction with the MASTronic™. An external placard containing the MEIN may be ordered for a small fee when ordering a MAS™ System License. As an alternative, the contractor may etch the MEIN into the curing concrete or use another placard system for architecturally sensitive situations. All MAS™ Systems MUST have the MEIN applied in a permanent and easily viewed location.
The MASTronic™ stands for MAS™ (T)racking, (R)adio, (O)n-board, (N)on-counterfeitable, (I)dentifying, (C)ode
The MASTronic™ contains an individual, pre-programmed code which cannot be cloned, altered or counterfeited. The communication between the reader and the transponder is based on safe low power, low frequency radio signals. The passive transponder needs no battery and transmits it’s ID code which identifies the MAS™ System without possibility of error through any non-conductive material even surrounded by re-bar or other metallic pieces or surfaces. The MASTronic™ can be read from a minimum of a 6 foot (2 meter) distance. The MASTronic™ carries manufacturing information on it’s shell through a laser-printing process. The MASTronic™ can be removed by core extraction by MAS™, if necessary, to visually examine the shell’s laser printed identification number.
Using a handheld RFID reader the MAS Distributor is responsible for reading the MASTronic™ which will automatically time/date stamp and record GPS positional coordinates for warranty activation. The GPS time code MUST match the internal time/date code of the reader or an error will result. The handheld reader communicates with the MAS™ Licensing Server, and is remotely programmed with the time/date and reader serial number. The handheld reader can NOT be manually programmed. Once the MAS Distributor has successfully scanned the MASTronic™, the handheld reader will transmit the validation to the MAS™ Licensing Server and activate the MAS™ System warranty and validate the license.
